As the Director of Quality, you will be responsible for leading quality initiatives that directly support our operational and site objectives. You will drive continuous improvement efforts focused on zero defect methodologies that aim to eliminate errors and defects in all production, office, engineering and service stages. The hands-on Quality leader is a leadership team member responsible for leading the organization. As a leadership team member, the successful candidate will partner with other staff members to execute the commitments of the business. Quality leadership includes recruiting, developing, training, coaching, goal and performance management. Shop floor processes producing close tolerance aerospace components produced via built to specification (BTS), build to print (BTP), maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO), supplemental type certification (STC), and Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA). Responsible for Quality Leadership for a Repair Station. Typical processes include milling, lathe, hone, plating, CNC programming, assembly, testing, non-destructive testing, dimensional and visual inspection techniques, and electro-mechanical processes. Lead customer, in-house, and supplier quality requirements through ISO/AS, NADCAP, FAA, C.A.S.E., ANSI, and other specifications. The hands-on individual will analyze and interpret technical data (engineering drawings, specifications, purchase orders, etc.) and support shop routings, operations sheets, tools, and other necessary processes to produce a high-quality product.
