About The Position

The Director of Quality, Compliance & Accreditation provides strategic leadership for MCS's compliance, accreditation, licensing, and quality management programs. This position ensures organizational compliance with federal, state, payer, and accreditation requirements while fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree preferred in Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Behavioral Health, Social Work, Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Nursing, Business Administration, Law, or a related field; or a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare compliance, quality management, accreditation, risk management, or regulatory affairs.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of leadership experience in healthcare, behavioral health, human services, developmental disability services, or related field.
  • At least five (5) years of experience leading compliance, accreditation, licensing, quality assurance, or regulatory oversight activities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Massachusetts DDS licensing and Office of Quality Enhancement (OQE) requirements.
  • Proven experience leading regulatory audits, corrective action planning, organizational quality improvement initiatives, performance measurement systems, and multi-site compliance efforts.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CARF, Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE), Medicaid, and other payer or accreditation standards is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee MCS's organization-wide compliance and quality management programs to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, payer, licensing, and accreditation requirements.
  • Interpret regulatory standards and translate them into organizational policies, procedures, and operational practices.
  • Maintain continuous readiness for MassHealth, CARF, DDS, BHCOE, and other regulatory reviews through ongoing monitoring, auditing, and quality assurance activities.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure organizational compliance across all MCS service lines.
  • Track quality indicators, compliance metrics, and performance outcomes to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate accreditation, licensing, and regulatory surveys, audits, and corrective action plans.
  • Conduct compliance investigations, organizational risk assessments, and incident trend analyses to mitigate risk.
  • Analyze client outcomes, satisfaction data, workforce metrics, and quality indicators to drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and present compliance, quality, and risk reports to executive leadership and governing bodies.
  • Collaborate with leadership on emergency preparedness, risk management, and organizational performance initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver compliance, accreditation, and quality improvement training for employees at all levels.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, accreditation organizations, auditors, and licensing authorities.
