About The Position
Sensient Technologies is seeking a Director of Quality and Product Safety to lead the Agricultural Ingredients Division. This role involves developing, implementing, measuring, and maintaining Quality and Food Safety systems to ensure raw materials, processes, and finished products consistently meet or exceed quality standards and global regulatory requirements. The position will oversee site QA and QC Managers across three plant locations.
Requirements
- Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certification is required.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead through influence with multiple levels of leadership.
- A minimum of a four-year equivalent degree in chemistry, microbiology, food science, or other related technical degree is required.
Nice To Haves
- Preferably 7-10 years of experience in a leadership position within a Quality Assurance/ Food Safety/ Regulatory environment within the Food and/or Flavor manufacturing industry.
- Experience working in a large international manufacturing environment also preferred.
- Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) certification and implementation experience preferred.
- Advanced (Masters) degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead through change, championing continuous improvement efforts and implementing quality improvement activities to enhance product line performance.
- Educate, mentor, and train employees on their impact on the quality management system.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies and standards to ensure raw materials, processes, and finished products consistently meet quality standards for customer satisfaction.
- Oversee the customer complaint process, ensuring timely investigation and closure.
- Review CAPA and close quality inquiries in CRM for all Natural Ingredients units.
- Champion BRC compliance and a food safety culture at all Natural Ingredients locations.
- Assist with vendor food safety and quality audits for domestic and international suppliers.
- Provide counsel to the management team on technical, quality, and food safety matters.
