About The Position

Drive excellence behind the scenes for foodservice with the nation's MLB property, Nationals Park —this role will lead strategic sourcing, vendor partnerships, warehouse operations, and inventory optimization to power world-class hospitality operations. The Director of Purchasing will oversee procurement processes, ensure cost efficiencies, and maintain quality standards while supporting operational success across the venue.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field or a minimum of 8 years work experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
• Experience with inventory management systems and procurement software
• Knowledge of contract negotiation and vendor management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement operations and oversee purchasing strategies
• Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure optimal pricing and quality
• Manage inventory levels to align with operational demands
• Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure compliance with company policies and supply chain standards
• Collaborate with culinary and operations teams to forecast needs
• Oversee receiving, storage, and distribution processes
