Director Public Safety - Chief of Police handles security and safety for Baylor Scott and White Health (BSWH). Plans and directs security programs, procedures, and controls to deter crime. Protects BSWH patients, visitors, staff, employees, facilities, and assets from threats. Manages new security processes and guidelines to improve security. Plans and conducts security assessments, inspections, drills, and reviews. Ensures compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements. Resolves security incidents and threats to BSWH hospitals, clinics, or facilities. May coordinate with local law enforcement when needed. Directs and reviews security work, including patrolling, inspecting, securing premises, and preventing loss. Informs violators of laws and BSWH policies, evicts trespassers, and responds to security requests. Protects BSWH patients, visitors, employees, and assets. A system Director translates and implements strategic plans and goals for their area. Makes final judgments on operational matters and ensures achievement of goals. Recommends policies and organizational changes for the area. Plans and executes projects and initiatives that meet annual goals.
