Director of Provider Operations (VA)
About The Position
As a remote Director of Provider Operations, you will report to an Associate VP of Strategy Advancement and manage a large operations team. You will be responsible for building, executing, and overseeing manual operations that support VA CCN Credentialing and Provider Data Loading. You will define operational strategy and priorities, align them with business goals and requirements, and ensure the infrastructure remains efficient, reliable, and cost-effective. You will collaborate across Provider teams and Humana Military to improve manual work, enhance data quality, guide automation priorities, and manage performance through KPIs, staffing, and capacity planning.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required due to Department of Defense Contract.
- Must successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (NBIS - National Background Investigation Services).
- Candidates currently living in Puerto Rico cannot be hired due to government contract limitations.
- 7 years management of 15+ associates.
- 10 years of healthcare operations leadership experience.
- 5 years experience building a large scale operations team for a new implementation.
- Self-provided internet service must meet at minimum a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
- Must work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
