About The Position

The Director of Execution is a high-impact leadership role responsible for the operational "machinery" that drives program success. Unlike a traditional PMO role, this position focuses on the operationalization of strategy—ensuring the company has the resources, manufacturing synchronization, and workflow efficiency to execute a portfolio of DoD contracts. You will bridge the gap between high-level program management and system design to ground-level production, ensuring that operational systems are scalable, compliant, and optimized for rapid prototype delivery. The ideal candidate is a master of organizational throughput, resource management, and operational excellence within a FAR/DFARS environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operational Research, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in program management, scheduling, EVM, and program finance within federal and commercial contracting environments, specifically supporting large, complex DoD programs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in all six federal government business system implementations, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience leading and overseeing multiple accreditation/certification efforts for all six systems (i.e., EVMS, MMAS, P&E, Accounting, Property, and Purchasing).
  • Experience with M/ERPs such as SAP, Oracle, and Epicor as examples.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams responsible for Corrective Action Plan (CAP) creation, implementation, and completion for initial validations or for-cause audit failures, remediation, and recertification.
  • Experience engaging with client and government-facing customer leadership, providing strategic direction and technical expertise related to Federal Cognizant Organization system validations.
  • Experience with Engineering workflows and digital engineering.
  • Must possess an active Secret (S) security clearance with the ability to attain or be eligible for a Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance.

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and digital engineering environments applied to government programs.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification with a focus on applying quality methodologies to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and digital manufacturing workflows.
  • Familiarity with specific DoD quality standards such as NAVSEA or NAVAIR-specific quality requirements and Government Reference Architectures.
  • Proven track record of successful new business capture and organic growth within DoD, particularly in areas of munitions, loitering munitions, fuzing technologies, C4ISR, communications, radar environment simulation, and airborne EW systems.
  • Experience with Government Reference Architectures (GRAs), Open Mission Systems (OMS), UCI, FACE, SOSA, and Weapons Open Systems Architecture (WOSA) objectives.
  • Background in All-Up Round (AUR) integration, warhead design, tail kit design, Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC), or Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A).

  • Translate strategic program requirements into actionable operational plans.
  • Ensure the "how" of execution is optimized across all departments (Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing) to meet mission-critical deadlines.
  • Lead enterprise-wide resource allocation.
  • Identify bottlenecks in personnel or facilities and implement strategies to scale capacity in alignment with the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Demonstrated experience managing or leading an organization through AS9100, ISO 9001, or equivalent aerospace quality certifications within a federal contracting environment.
  • Proven track record in leading teams through the creation and implementation of Corrective Action Plans (CAP) following internal or external audit findings.
  • Standardize execution workflows across the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile) to reduce waste and improve the velocity of delivery from concept to production.
  • Work closely with procurement and in-house manufacturing to ensure the "Heavy-Alloy" production and assembly lines are synchronized with program execution needs.
  • Ensure the disciplined use of ERP/MRP and EVMS tools to provide real-time visibility into operational performance.
  • Act as a champion for digital engineering and MBSE integration into the physical production lifecycle.
  • Oversee operational compliance with FAR/DFARS.
