About The Position

Viridian Staffing's Client, a cannabis company in the greater Portland, Oregon, area, is seeking an operational leader to join them as a Director of Production. This role involves leading the day-to-day operations of a regulated cannabis manufacturing and fulfillment facility, overseeing all production (including extraction and kitchen), packaging, and fulfillment operations. The ideal candidate will inspire the operations team to be compliant with all regulations and SOPs related to safety, security, and health. This is a collaborative servant leadership role with a 'can-do' attitude and a 'roll up your sleeves' work ethic, dedicated to setting the organization up for success. Responsibilities include overseeing scheduling, safety, administration, supply chain, quality, production, maintenance, tech stack/systems, and facility logistics. The role requires a focus on continuous process improvement, better performance, and enhanced customer relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • At least 3+ years of experience managing a production manufacturing operation.
  • At least 2+ years of direct people management responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Experience enforcing GMP and OSHA requirements.
  • Experience with developing a production schedule.
  • Experience with inventory management.
  • Experience with supply chain management.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite.
  • Proficiency with Excel.
  • Experience with ERP Systems.
  • Experience with customer service.
  • Technology savvy.

Nice To Haves

  • Cannabis experience is preferred.
  • Experience in a food-grade production environment is preferred.
