About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Director of Production to join our operations team. Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Director of Production is responsible for leading and optimizing production operations at MetOcean. This role ensures the efficient manufacturing of products, aligning production capacity with business objectives while maintaining strict quality, safety, and delivery standards. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented and hands-on, who has strong leadership skills and proven experience in production management.

  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven leadership and team development skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production operations, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
  • Optimize workflows, resource allocation, and production processes.
  • Monitor KPIs such as throughput, quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
  • Establish performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all products meet MetOcean’s quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Quality to resolve production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Work closely with Tech Support, Engineering, Finance, and Quality to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and scaling of innovative technologies.
  • Ensure material availability and cost control.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all production activities.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Lead initiatives to improve workplace safety and sustainability.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
