About The Position

Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits LLC is seeking a Director of Product Operations, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) to lead the implementation and ongoing management of ML operations practices and tools. This role involves streamlining the development, deployment, and monitoring of ML models, continuously analyzing model performance for optimization, and collaborating with data science teams on automated hyperparameter tuning. The position requires hiring, training, and leading a team of data platform operations professionals, fostering innovation and continuous improvement. Building strong partnerships with cross-functional teams and staying updated on emerging trends in data management, ML operations, and cloud computing are key aspects of this role. The position may involve telecommuting but requires residency near the Miramar, Florida headquarters or Dallas, Texas office, with up to 10% domestic travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in computer science, software engineering, electronic engineering, or related field.
• 7 years of experience in job offered or similar occupation.
• At least 7 years of experience in ML platform operations.
• At least 4 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of ML operations tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of security and compliance.
• Knowledge of risk management.
• Knowledge of CI/CD.
• Knowledge of strategic thinking and innovation.
• Knowledge of stakeholder management.
• Knowledge of change management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and ongoing management of ML operations practices and tools to streamline the development, deployment, and monitoring of ML models.
• Continuously monitor and analyze model performance metrics, identifying opportunities for further optimization and improvement.
• Collaborate with data science teams to implement automated hyperparameter tuning pipelines, leveraging industry standard tools.
• Hire, train, and lead a high-performing team of data platform operations professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, data science, information technology, and business stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in data management, ML operations, and cloud computing and drive the adoption of industry best practices within the organization.
