About The Position

ClickHouse is a rapidly growing cloud company recognized on the 2025 Forbes Cloud 100 list, leading the market in real-time analytics, data warehousing, observability, and AI workloads. With over 4,000 customers and significant year-over-year ARR growth, ClickHouse is transforming how companies use data. We are seeking a Director of Product Management to take full ownership of our security product strategy, including vision, roadmap development, and build vs. buy decisions. This role involves setting the multi-year investment strategy for security offerings, collaborating closely with engineering on database security, networking, and identity management, and serving as the subject matter expert for other Product Managers on security-related matters.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS.
  • Significant and sustained focus on security products or features.
  • Experience setting security strategy at an organizational level.
  • Real, hands-on experience with database security principles and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and their security implications.
  • In-depth knowledge of identity and access management (IAM).
  • Solid program management skills: planning, execution, and risk management across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • A track record of representing product externally with customers, analysts, or at industry events.
  • Ability to translate deep technical security topics for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience guiding or informally mentoring other PMs.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Judgment to know when to escalate versus when to make decisions independently.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where priorities shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+).

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for our security offerings, and advocate for it internally with engineering and leadership, and externally with customers and the market.
  • Gain deep expertise in database security, networking, and identity and access management (IAM) to effectively discuss technical details with engineering.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, sales, and marketing to ensure products are genuinely secure.
  • Translate complex security requirements into clear specifications and user stories for the engineering team.
  • Manage backlog prioritization, balancing business value, customer risk, and engineering costs.
  • Lead go-to-market strategies for security product launches, including positioning, sales enablement, and documentation.
  • Monitor the real-world performance of security features and use data to inform future product development.
  • Serve as the primary security subject-matter expert for other teams, providing guidance and coaching to PMs on security-adjacent issues.
  • Represent our security posture and roadmap externally to key customers, prospects, and analysts, demonstrating a deep understanding of technical trade-offs.

Benefits

  • Flexible work environment - globally distributed and remote-friendly.
  • Employer contributions towards healthcare.
  • Stock options for every new team member.
  • Flexible time off in the US.
  • Generous time off entitlement in other countries.
  • A $500 Home office setup for remote employees.
  • Opportunities to engage with colleagues at company-wide offsites.
