About The Position

This is a senior leadership role with real impact. Procurement is not a support function here — it is a strategic driver of the business. The cost of what we buy, the reliability of who we buy it from, and the efficiency of how we manage it all directly affects our ability to grow, price competitively, and deliver for our customers. We already have a department in place. The foundation is built. What we need now is a leader who can take it further, elevate the team, sharpen the strategy, tighten the operations, and bring measurable value to the business year over year. You will manage a broad spend portfolio including raw materials sourced globally, capital equipment, logistics, and a resale accessories line, with oversight of a cross-border team spanning the US and Canada.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of procurement experience, including at least 4 years leading a team.
  • Proven ability to deliver cost savings, manage complex supplier relationships, and build scalable procurement structures.
  • Experience working across the US and Canada and sourcing from international markets (Europe, Asia, and beyond).
  • Decisive leadership style — make well-informed decisions quickly and stand behind them.
  • Strong communication skills with senior leadership — translate procurement complexity into clear business insight.
  • Comfortable with data, procurement systems, and genuinely interested in using technology — including AI and automation tools — to make the team more effective.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Bilingual English / French required.
  • ~15% travel across North America.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform or AI-assisted procurement tools.
  • Familiarity with resale or distribution procurement models.

Responsibilities

  • Secure the best possible value without compromising quality standards and document savings and cost impacts.
  • Manage supplier risk, build dual-source options for critical materials, and anticipate disruptions.
  • Own senior-level relationships with key vendors, hold them accountable to performance standards, and negotiate agreements.
  • Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals, challenging them, teaching them, and providing tools for improvement.
  • Ensure consistent procurement processes, systems, and standards across both countries.
  • Provide regular, structured reporting to executive leadership on costs, risks, savings, and market trends.
  • Leverage AI, automation, and modern procurement technologies to transform data into actionable insights, improve forecasting and supplier management, and increase the overall effectiveness of the function.
