About The Position

SPIROL is a global manufacturer seeking an experienced Director of Procurement to join their team in Danielson, CT. This role is responsible for developing and executing a global procurement process to achieve world-class results, acting as a subject matter expert in metals and material management. The position involves coordinating with global SPIROL sites to implement sourcing strategies focused on reducing total cost of ownership and supply chain risks, leading category and commodity strategies, and providing strategic and tactical direction for metal and metal surface treatments. The role also requires proactive monitoring and reporting on factors impacting supply and effective communication with the global team.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics or Logistics.
Demonstrated knowledge of technical materials management.
8+ years of experience with global procurement and global sourcing strategies.
Experience and working knowledge with Quality Management Systems, with demonstrated strong ISO9001, IATF16949 and AS9100 capabilities.
Expert analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a global procurement process that delivers world-class results.
Act as the subject matter expert as it relates to metals and material management.
Coordinate with all SPIROL sites globally, identifying and implementing sourcing strategies with a focus on reduced total cost of ownership and supply chain risks.
Lead category and commodity strategies, including spend analysis, benchmarking and market analysis.
Provide strategic direction and tactical direction with regard to metal and metal surface treatments throughout SPIROL.
Proactively monitor and report on all factors which could impact supply (legislative, environmental, political, geographic, supplier issues) and communicate effectively with the global team.
