About The Position

T2 Contracting, Inc. is seeking a Director of Preconstruction to join their team in Fuquay-Varina, NC. This is a full-time leadership opportunity where the individual will work directly with ownership, drive estimating strategy, and build the foundation of their preconstruction operations. The role offers a competitive salary of $150,000-$185,000 per year, depending on experience, plus an annual bonus tied to margin performance on the jobs estimated, a company vehicle and fuel card. Requirements

Valid driver's license
7+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil or underground utility construction
Federal bid experience, including USACE projects
Experience building estimates from production rates, not just unit pricing
Ability to obtain military base access
Must have the ability to pass a background check and drug screening test.

Nice To Haves

Experience with HCSS HeavyBid is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Review production-driven estimates for a major water or sewer project.
Collaborate with Project Administrator and Project Engineer to prepare upcoming bids.
Manage the bid calendar.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks across North Carolina and South Carolina.
Evaluate project opportunities.
Provide bid/no-bid recommendations directly to ownership.
Build and refine estimating tools, cost databases, equipment rates, templates, and processes that strengthen operational performance.
