About The Position

The Director of PMO is responsible for leading the execution of the company's highest-priority strategic initiatives across the enterprise. Reporting to the VP of IT, this leadership role partners with Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and IT to drive alignment, accountability, and successful delivery of key business initiatives. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on leadership position that goes beyond traditional program management. The Director of PMO brings structure to complex initiatives, facilitates cross-functional decision-making, and drives clarity in ambiguous environments. Success in this role requires the ability to quickly establish priorities, define outcomes, remove obstacles, and mobilize teams to execute strategic objectives. The Director of PMO will establish and lead enterprise project management frameworks, governance processes, and execution cadences to ensure initiatives are well-defined, appropriately resourced, and delivered on time. This leader will champion operational excellence, foster organizational alignment, and continuously improve how strategic initiatives are planned, executed, and measured to maximize business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Translate enterprise priorities into executable plans by defining scope, outcomes, milestones, and success metrics. Lead the structuring of initiatives that may begin with incomplete input, creating clarity, alignment, and forward momentum across stakeholders.
  • Proactively facilitate cross-functional conversations to define direction, align stakeholders, and drive decisions. Guide leaders through ambiguity—ensuring initiatives are shaped, prioritized, and actionable rather than waiting for fully formed plans.
  • Lead change management planning and execution across strategic initiatives. Ensure leaders and teams are prepared, aligned, and supported to adopt new processes, systems, and ways of working. Embed change management practices into all major initiatives.
  • Partner across all business functions to ensure alignment, accountability, and progress. Act as the central point of orchestration across initiatives to drive enterprise-wide execution.
  • Establish and enforce consistent methods for scoping, planning, prioritization, execution, and tracking across all initiatives. Implement disciplined governance and execution standards.
  • Develop detailed road maps, manage dependencies, and assess resource needs across initiatives. Ensure appropriate allocation and alignment of resources to strategic priorities.
  • Own and lead execution cadences including standups, sprint planning, and weekly reviews. Maintain consistent momentum and quickly surface and address blockers.
  • Anticipate risks and proactively resolve issues impacting delivery using structured problem-solving and escalation when necessary.
  • Provide concise, decision-ready updates to executive leadership, including initiative status, risks, tradeoffs, and required actions.
  • Define and track KPIs and initiative health metrics. Provide transparency into progress, throughput, and business impact.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews across initiatives, adjusting priorities, resources, and plans to manage critical path risks.
  • Continuously improve execution workflows, delivery methods, and PMO standards to increase efficiency and predictability.
