About The Position

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced The Director of Platform Management to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights. The Director of Platform Management owns the strategic vision, roadmap, and long-term direction of the Salute Operating Platform. This is not a product management role, it is a platform leadership role. You set the strategic agenda for Salute’s most consequential technology initiative: the operating system that will define how data center operations are run, monetized, and scaled across every Salute facility and customer engagement.  You are the counterpart to the Director of Platform Engineering, while engineering owns how we build it, you own what we build and why. You translate business strategy, customer intelligence, and market opportunity into a prioritized platform roadmap, and you hold accountability for ensuring the Salute Operating Platform delivers measurable outcomes for operators, customers, and the business.

Requirements

A platform strategist, someone who has operated above the product manager layer, with a track record of owning strategic roadmap governance across complex enterprise platforms or technology programs.
Executive presence and stakeholder authority, this role requires influence across the C-suite, board-level stakeholders, customer executives, and a cross-functional technology organization.
Structured, decisive thinker, able to govern a complex intake and prioritization process, make hard sequencing decisions, and hold the line on the strategic vision.
Fluency at the intersection of technology and business, able to engage the Director of Platform Engineering as a peer on technical depth while translating platform capabilities into commercial value for customers and internal teams.
High tolerance for ambiguity is paired with a bias for clarity. This platform is being built from the ground up this leader must be able to create structure, not just operate within it.

Responsibilities

The Salute Operating Platform strategic platform roadmap, defining what capabilities get built, in what sequence, and against what business and operator outcomes
Customer and stakeholder engagement, translating operator needs into product requirements and ensuring the Salute Operating Platform solves real problems
Strategic alignment with the Director of Platform Engineering: you own the roadmap and the “why”; engineering owns the build and the “how”.
Ensuring platform development and the organization thereof presents a validated, funded build mandate within the parameters of the Salute Board.
