Pines Village Continuing Care Retirement Community is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Plant Services to lead and oversee all building operations, maintenance, environmental systems, and facility services across our full continuum of care, including Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Plant Operations/Facilities Management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in long-term care and healthcare facility operations.
  • Thorough knowledge of New Jersey Department of Health regulations and Long-Term Care survey processes.
  • Experience successfully managing Department of Health surveys and plans of correction.
  • Strong knowledge of life safety codes, emergency preparedness, and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certifications and/or degree in facilities management, engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all facility maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Oversee building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and emergency power systems.
  • Manage plant operations and maintenance staff.
  • Develop and monitor departmental budgets and capital improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare, life safety, environmental, and building regulations.
  • Lead preparation for and participation in regulatory inspections and surveys.
  • Coordinate contractors, vendors, and service providers.
  • Maintain a safe environment for residents, visitors, and employees across all levels of care.
