Freedom Square of Seminole is an upscale Senior Living Community located in beautiful Seminole, Florida. Designed like a quaint town square with paved brick streets and a welcoming gazebo, Freedom Square retirement community in Seminole, Florida offers a wide variety of elegantly appointed residential options, a wealth of exceptional services and amenities and a full calendar of fun, engaging activities - all just a short drive from Lake Seminole and the beautiful beaches of the Gulf Coast! Situated on 15 acres with two ponds, we offer a beautiful garden-like setting for retirement living. As a life care community, Freedom Square makes aging in place simple. Residents are able to seamlessly transition from independent living to assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing care, as their healthcare needs change. Freedom Square of Seminole has 304 Independent Living Units, 148 Assisted Living, 25 Memory Care Units and 115 Skilled Nursing units. Our Upscale Senior Living Fees are anywhere from $83K-$418K and a monthly fee from $2,260-$4,650. Our community is looking for a Plant Operations Director to join our team! Requirements

  • At least five years' experience in plant engineering and/or trades such as plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, refrigeration, ground maintenance, masonry or maintenance.
  • Three years supervisory experience.
  • Must have outstanding customer service skills with a senior population with a focus on meeting and exceeding expectations.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the health care field and/or with an elderly population preferred.
  • Knowledge in fire safety and MSDS training also preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Implements systems and controls to achieve financial performance as established by the department budget. This includes developing budgets and capital spending plans on an annual basis. Per calendar year we average 5-6 million for our capital budgeting.
  • Develop financial forecasts and actively participate in monthly profit/loss review meetings.
  • Develop and implement plans for the plant operations team and vendors to maintain property, equipment, grounds and other assets in an acceptable state of repair.
  • Ensure that apartment maintenance requests are handled in a prompt and courteous manner through the TELS system.
  • Develop plans that provides and maintains a quality facility with respect to the interior and exterior of the buildings, roads, grounds, tools and equipment to achieve a safe, sanitary and healthy living/working environment for residents and staff.
  • Assures that all services and programs are in compliance with federal, state, and/or local laws and statutes.
  • Plans and initiates staff training in emergency preparedness. life safety, personal protective equipment, OSHA mandated training, and other required training.
  • Monitors infection control guidelines within the department.
  • Develops established emergency policies and procedures for the team to follow.
  • Reviews and analyzes quality control, maintenance and operational reports to determine causes of non-conformity with product specifications and operating or production problems.
  • Experience in apartments and condo renovations for Upscale Senior Living and ability to manage timelines with outside contractors.
