About The Position

The Pavillion Behavioral Health, Located in Champaign, Illinois, is seeking an experienced Director of Plant Operations to join our leadership team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team while working in a state-of-the-art facility. The Director of Plant Operations/Safety (DPO) is responsible for oversight of public utilities, security systems (alarms, access controls, etc.), HVAC systems, physical plant operations, environmental services, housekeeping, dietary, grounds landscaping, managing capital projects and coordination of emergency management. This individual ensures compliance with pertinent healthcare building codes, accreditation standards, OSHA, and contractual work specifications; and oversees emergency facilities operational initiatives and plans. In addition, this individual oversees all construction projects and any work performed by outside vendors and contractors, while assuring that all work performed meets fire and safety codes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Five to Ten years of progressive experience in supervision and maintenance.
  • Specific experience should include maintenance installation, construction, and maintenance of grounds, utilities, and buildings.
  • Must be familiar with The Joint Commission standards or demonstrate the ability to understand and follow regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • CHFM (Certified Healthcare Facility Manager) is preferred; not required
  • Previous management experience is strongly preferred.
