OneQuest Health seeks a dynamic and mission driven Director of Philanthropy to implement a developed comprehensive fundraising program. This individual will manage a portfolio of individual, corporate, and community donors while driving the day-to-day execution of an annual fund development plan. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer while working in close partnership with the organization’s fundraising consultants, the Director will translate strategic counsel into action—ensuring priorities are met, momentum is maintained, and donor relationships flourish. The Director will devote most of their time to major gifts and individual giving, with primary responsibility for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding meaningful donor relationships. The director will be directly responsible for raising $825,000 through individual giving. Additional funds will be raised through corporate partnerships, direct appeals, foundations & grants and specific events to reach our goal of $4 million raised annually. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFRE preferred.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive fundraising experience, including major gifts and annual giving.
  • Strong storytelling ability.
  • Fundraising experience in healthcare or human service, preferred.
  • Proven success managing donor portfolios and meeting fundraising goals.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with donor management systems (Raiser’s Edge NXT preferred).
  • Highly organized, action-oriented, and skilled at implementing established strategies.
  • Collaborative, proactive, professional, and mission-driven approach to donor engagement and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day-to-day implementation lead for OneQuest Health’s Fund Development Plan, ensuring priorities, timelines, and activities are executed with consistency and precision across all fundraising functions.
  • Act as the primary staff liaison for philanthropy with the OneQuest Health Board of Directors, the OneQuest Foundation Board, and organizational subject matter experts—facilitating communication, engagement, and coordination in support of fundraising goals.
  • Coordinate regular philanthropy team meetings to align priorities, drive accountability, and foster effective communication across the development team.
  • Monitor fundraising timelines, deliverables, and implementation schedules to ensure steady progress toward objectives.
  • Track and report progress toward fundraising goals and key milestones, maintaining transparency and momentum throughout the program.
  • Collaborate closely with OneQuest Health’s fundraising consultants to implement established priorities and recommendations efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage, qualify, and strategically grow a portfolio of 100–125 major gift and leadership donors and prospects.
  • Execute individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans that deepen donor relationships.
  • Schedule and conduct purposeful donor meetings and cultivation visits to advance engagement and giving.
  • Prepare compelling proposals, personalized correspondence, and solicitation materials tailored to donor interests.
  • Coordinate donor strategies with the CEO and development team to ensure alignment and maximize outcomes.
  • Partner with Board members to support donor cultivation and solicitation efforts, leveraging board and community connections.
  • Identify and qualify new major gift prospects through research, referrals, and community engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and timely donor records, contact reports, and portfolio updates within Raiser's Edge NXT.
  • Oversee the annual development communications calendar, collaborating with internal staff, the external communications consultant, and OneQuest Health’s fundraising consultants to ensure timely, coordinated execution.
  • Manage development-related newsletter content, donor stories, and fundraising updates to ensure consistent delivery and alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Assist in producing and coordinating fundraising collateral—including annual appeal materials, sponsorship packets, and other donor-facing resources—to support engagement and giving.
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination between the development department and the external communications consultant, ensuring all fundraising projects remain on schedule and aligned with messaging goals.
  • Maintain consistency in fundraising messaging and uphold the organization’s Case for Support across all development materials and communications.
  • Partner closely with fundraising consultants to translate strategic counsel into actionable steps and measurable results.
  • Serve as a liaison between consultants, leadership, and staff to ensure seamless execution of the fundraising plan.
  • Conduct regular corporate stewardship meetings to strengthen relationships and demonstrate impact.
  • Ensure sponsorship renewals are completed on schedule, maintaining consistent engagement and satisfaction.
  • Identify and qualify new sponsorship prospects through research, networking, and community outreach.
  • Coordinate donor cultivation events that engage corporate and community stakeholders in meaningful ways.
  • Implement an effective event day giving strategy that maximizes participation and revenue.
  • Track partnership performance metrics and prepare reports on sponsorship outcomes and community engagement.
  • Represent the organization at community events, business forums, and networking opportunities to expand visibility and partnerships.
  • Work closely with leadership and board members to leverage connections and open new corporate giving opportunities.
  • Monitor progress toward fundraising goals outlined in the OneQuest Fund Development Plan.
  • Provide timely, data-driven updates to leadership highlighting the number of donor visits, donor contacts and proposals.
  • Maintain organized systems for tracking activities, deadlines, and deliverables through the fundraising dashboard.
