About The Position

At Pace Center for Girls, we transform girls’ lives through education, counseling, training, and advocacy rooted in a gender-responsive, strength-based, and trauma-informed framework. The Director of Philanthropy expands philanthropic support and strategic partnerships that sustain and grow Pace’s mission. This role leads relationship development, revenue generation, donor stewardship, and cross-functional collaboration to advance long-term organizational impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Five or more years of nonprofit development, partnerships, sales, or related experience.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving revenue goals and managing a portfolio.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience using CRM systems and data to inform fundraising strategy.
  • A polished relationship-builder with strong executive presence and business acumen.
  • A results-oriented development leader who balances strategy with execution.
  • Required to align with the Mission, Values, and Guiding Principles, maintain ethical standards, and comply with all policies and procedures of Pace Center for Girls
  • This position requires a Level II pre-employment background screening pursuant to Chapters 435, 984, 985 and 943, Florida Statutes, and the Department of Juvenile Justice policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to raise $1M+ in annual philanthropic revenue across individual, corporate, and foundation giving.
  • Build and manage a high-quality, diversified pipeline of prospects to support near-term goals and long-term sustainability.
  • Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects, leading cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship to secure 5- and 6-figure gifts.
  • Drive prospect identification, research, and qualification to ensure a strong and actionable donor pipeline.
  • Build trusted relationships with donors, sponsors, foundations, and community leaders.
  • Represent Pace externally through meetings, events, and strategic networking opportunities.
  • Partner with executive leadership and trustees on cultivation and solicitation strategies.
  • Lead development of proposals, sponsorship packages, presentations, and funding concepts.
  • Deliver clear, compelling impact reports and stewardship communications that deepen engagement and increase investment.
  • Partner with the broader Advancement team to ensure coordination across individual giving, events, and communications.
  • Provide guidance and support to Center leaders to strengthen local fundraising efforts and align with organizational strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align funding priorities with programmatic needs and organizational strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Advancement, Program, and Finance teams to ensure cohesive and compelling asks and funder engagement.
  • Maintain accurate donor records, forecasting, and moves management in CRM systems.
  • Monitor progress toward goals and adapt strategies to maximize outcomes.
  • Partner with Communications, Programs, Finance, and Center leaders to align funding priorities.
  • Support enterprise campaigns, events, and strategic initiatives as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
