About The Position

As a full time, Director of Pharmacy at River Valley Behavioral you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team. Requirements

BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
Licensed pharmacist in the State of KY in good standing
1+ years of recent pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation
All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.

Responsibilities

Supervises the maintenance and dissemination of drug information through in-service education of hospital personnel, consultation with patients, hospital staff, and medical staff.
Actively assists staff pharmacists in the discharge of routing duties as necessary.
Directs the activities of and provides professional and technical guidance to pharmacy personnel.
