As a Director of Pharmacy you will lead all aspects of pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing, and supervising services in alignment with hospital policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with hospital leadership to implement innovative pharmacy practices, supported by proprietary CPS software, a dedicated support team including experts in operations, clinical, and regulatory as well as a CPS Area Director or Senior Vice President. You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Requirements

  • ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree (PharmD preferred)
  • Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing
  • 3+ years of experience as a pharmacist in an acute care hospital setting
  • 2+ years of pharmacy management experience working in an acute care hospital setting
  • Demonstrated teaching, relevant professional publications and involvement with professional organizations

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program
  • 3+ years of pharmacy management experience working in an acute care hospital setting

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage hospital pharmacy operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely medication distribution
  • Supervise, coach, and develop pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, technicians, and interns
  • Oversee medication safety and quality initiatives, reducing errors and improving patient outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, including Joint Commission, USP, and state/federal laws
  • Manage departmental budgets, inventory, and purchasing, controlling costs while maintaining service levels
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care and organizational goals
  • Implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics, driving continuous improvement and accountability
