Pembroke Hospital is a 120-bed acute care, inpatient behavioral health facility located south of Boston, in Pembroke, MA. Situated on 26 acres, we offer inpatient and partial hospitalization treatment to teens, adults and older adults, and our services are designed to assess, stabilize, and treat patients by addressing their primary symptoms and problems. The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Pharmacy Department to ensure that medications are handled, stored, dispensed, and delivered in an appropriate manner. Responsibilities include the following: the establishment and implementation of policies and procedures pertaining to all Pharmacy functions, providing Pharmacy clinical services to Physicians, Nurses, and Patients, overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy, supervision of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, effective cost management of medications, Chairperson of the P+T Committee, and reporting to the Quality Management Committee. Duties are performed under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer in accordance with the rules established by the Joint Commission, standards of the Department of Mental Health, and in accordance with state and federal laws.
