Interim Director of Pharmacy – Behavioral Health
About The Position
Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking a Director of Pharmacy for an interim assignment at a behavioral health hospital in the Peoria, IL area. This is a unique opportunity to take on a hands-on leadership role supporting pharmacy operations within a behavioral health setting. The role involves providing pharmacy leadership while functioning as a working Director of Pharmacy, approving medication orders, and supporting daily pharmacy operations. The position also includes assisting with Omnicell setup and inventory stocking, participating in P&T meetings and pharmacy workflow development, and supporting overall pharmacy implementation and operational readiness. This is an interim assignment with an ASAP start and an ongoing duration. The work schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm, with possible on-call coverage after shifts and on weekends.
Requirements
- Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing
- Inpatient hospital experience preferred
- Experience with HCS preferred
- Experience with Omnicell preferred

- Local candidates preferred, though travel candidates may be considered
