About The Position

Aurora Behavioral Health System is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Director of Outpatient Services (IOP/PHP) to lead our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at our Glendale campus. This leadership role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients, families, and the community while guiding a team dedicated to exceptional behavioral healthcare. The Director of Outpatient Services is responsible for the development, administration, growth, and operational success of Aurora's IOP and PHP programs. This leader will ensure the delivery of high-quality behavioral health services while supporting organizational goals, regulatory compliance, patient outcomes, and business development initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, strong clinical leader, and passionate advocate for mental health who thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree required in a behavioral health-related field
  • Must possess one of the following Arizona licenses: LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LAMFT, LISAC, LASAC, LPC, LAC
  • Minimum of 2 years of behavioral health and/or hospital experience in clinical inpatient and/or outpatient settings
  • Experience in psychiatric and substance use treatment programs
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Current fingerprint clearance requirements
  • Negative TB test or medical clearance
  • Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Current Therapeutic Options (TO) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the IOP and PHP programs
  • Ensure clinical excellence and compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards
  • Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary treatment teams
  • Monitor program effectiveness, patient outcomes, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Foster referral relationships and support community outreach efforts
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership to achieve organizational goals
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, productivity, and departmental budgets
  • Ensure continuity of care across the behavioral health continuum
  • Participate in strategic planning, program development, and growth initiatives
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and patient-centered treatment environment
