About The Position
The Oregon State Hospital is seeking a Director of Organizational Strategy and Development. This role leads the transformation of Oregon State Hospital into a purpose-driven forensic psychiatric institution. The director translates executive vision into actionable initiatives that improve safety, treatment quality, workforce readiness, and compliance. The role oversees public policy development, major projects, hospital operations governance, and executive reporting, while guiding teams that execute these efforts across the organization. The director evaluates the impact of priority initiatives on achieving strategic goals, directs key public policy and organization-wide changes, advises leadership on strategy and risk, and ensures hospital priorities are clearly defined, aligned, and delivered from initiation through completion. This position offers an opportunity to shape the future of forensic psychiatric care in Oregon, strengthening patient care, empowering teams, and advancing a mission that protects both the public and those served.
Requirements
- Five years of management experience.
- OR Two years of management experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
