About The Position

The Bleeding and Clotting Disorders Institute (BCDI), a Federally recognized Hemophilia Treatment Center of Excellence, is seeking a full-time Director of Organizational & Pharmacy Compliance. This role reports directly to the COO and is responsible for ensuring the organization adheres to all federal and state regulations, managing accreditation initiatives, and serving as the primary liaison with accrediting bodies. The Director will collaborate with the leadership team to meet accreditation standards, analyze data for reporting and auditing, and ensure all operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements. This position also includes a Pharmacist role for the BCDI pharmacy, involving prescription interpretation, drug information consultation, patient counseling, and processing wholesale orders. Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • Active pharmacist license in the state of Illinois
  • 3+ years pharmacy experience
  • Experience with state and federal pharmacy laws
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Ideally in a regulatory or compliance role
  • Prior involvement in audits, inspections, or accreditation processes
  • Experience developing and reviewing policies, SOPs and compliance documentation
  • Six Sigma green belt certification or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the organization is in compliance with all federal and state regulations.
  • Aggregating and analyzing internal and external data for reporting and auditing.
  • Coordination and oversight of all organizational accreditation initiatives.
  • Serving as the main point of contact for accrediting bodies.
  • Working with the leadership team to ensure accreditation requirements are met.
  • Reviewing data for inconsistencies or anomalies that could skew analytical results.
  • Ensuring all operations meet legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Serving as a member of the Quality Management Committee.
  • Interpreting physician prescriptions and medication orders.
  • Acting as a drug information resource to patients, medical staff, nursing staff and ancillary department personnel.
  • Consulting with patients as needed regarding new medication(s) and or dosage changes.
  • Filling and processing of wholesale orders.
