About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations who is passionate about leadership, operational excellence, and creating systems that allow children, families, and employees to thrive. This is a key leadership position that works directly with the Owner to lead daily operations, support our leadership team, strengthen enrollment, and continue building an exceptional organization.

Requirements

  • Experience leading teams in a childcare, education, healthcare, hospitality, or service-based organization
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with scheduling, staffing, and operational management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with technology, Google Workspace, and administrative systems

Nice To Haves

  • Childcare leadership experience preferred
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations preferred (or willingness to learn)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of the center
  • Develop and improve operational systems and procedures
  • Supervise and support the administrative leadership team
  • Build a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and classroom coverage
  • Ensure compliance with all state licensing requirements
  • Oversee labor management and operational efficiency
  • Coordinate facility, safety, and operational processes
  • Oversee the enrollment process from inquiry through onboarding
  • Conduct tours for prospective families as needed
  • Monitor enrollment trends and classroom capacity
  • Build relationships with prospective and current families
  • Support family retention through exceptional communication and service
  • Ensure administrative systems and child records remain organized and accurate
  • Coach, mentor, and support employees
  • Conduct performance conversations
  • Hold employees accountable to organizational standards
  • Participate in hiring and onboarding
  • Foster a positive, child-focused culture
