The incumbent in this position is responsible for overseeing and directing their assigned market’s office operations to ensure efficiency and profitability including the supervision of all office personnel, overseeing field operations and supervisors and acquiring and maintaining working relationships with clients.

Requirements

  • Possess a BA or college degree in a related field or comparable experience.
  • 5-7 years previous managerial or supervisor experience.

  • Previous experience in the entertainment industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire and maintain good standing client working relationships including occasionally traveling to job sites and attendance to client meetings over the phone and in person.
  • Entertain clients as necessary and appropriate.
  • Handles conflict resolution in a professional manner for clients with regards to invoice disputes and their overall happiness with the product and labor they received getting Regional or National Director of Operations involved as necessary and appropriate.
  • Oversee the management of all functions of assigned market’s office.
  • Hire, motivate, evaluate, and direct office personnel to ensure proper staffing and that each employee receives adequate guidance and the resources to accomplish all job responsibilities according to the established department objectives.
  • Work with company owners and senior management teams to ensure that company objectives are established and met.
  • Promote a work environment that stresses quality service and product along with profitability for the company.
  • Make and execute hiring/promotion and termination decisions for scheduling personnel as appropriate with the assistance of the senior management teams under their supervision.
  • Work with the senior management team to periodically review and assess all production and procedures to ensure quality and quantity needs are met as well as the company’s bottom line as necessary and appropriate.
  • Annually review and assess all field employee pay rates and adjust as appropriate.
  • Work with the senior management team to review office staff performance annually.
  • Oversee the management of the scheduling department to ensure proper labor is booked and assist with making calls as necessary and appropriate.
  • Develop strategy and lay out plans for upcoming work and large shows working with the senior management team to execute strategy with the scheduling department.
  • Work with Human Resources Manager to ensure all company policies and safety guidelines are met and in accordance with State and Federal laws.
  • Work with senior management and Human Resources Manager to address complaints and assist office personnel with problem solving and conflict resolution.
  • Work with Human Resources Manager to develop office staff employee performance plans and engage in disciplinary meetings as appropriate.
  • Directly oversee and manage full time and part time supervisors to ensure proper procedures, company policies and safety policies are followed. Issue disciplinary action for Supervisor violations as necessary, involving Human Resources Manager for support and coaching when necessary.
  • Assist Human Resources Manager with disciplinary action for field employees as necessary.
  • Assist with invoicing as necessary and appropriate.
  • Work with field supervisors to ensure proper procedures, company policies and safety policies are followed.
  • Monitor and/or directly supervise any other aspect of the function and operation of the office including employee travel.
  • Bill hours in the field as directed by your direct supervisor.
  • Ability to effectively communicate by phone and in person with all levels of employees as well as outside contacts including employees of other Rhino locations, clients and potential clients in a professional manner.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret all necessary documentation.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to maintain composure in high stress environments and situations.
  • Ability to comprehend and enforce all company policies.
  • Ability to handle confidential information ethically.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to make well informed decisions.
  • Ability to operate computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite and Gmail, as well as our scheduling system.
  • Capable of sitting or standing for prolonged periods while using a computer or participating in meetings. Able to walk and stand for extended durations, as well as bend, twist, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged use of computer screens for scheduling, tracking data, and communication.
  • This position is subject to varying levels of travel as well as varying levels of noise, heat, and smoke when on the job site.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as this position will require overtime and weekends as necessary.
  • Has solid knowledge of the entertainment industry including general practices as well as equipment used and job functions of the field employees.
  • Ability to multi-task
