Director of Operations (DHS Integrated Support Hotel Program)
About The Position
The Director of Operations will serve as the on-site lead for all operational matters within the DHS Integrated Support Hotel Program. This role involves overseeing security staffing, managing Resident Advisors (RAs) on-site, and supervising driver and van operations. The Director of Operations must be knowledgeable in security and operational policies and procedures. This position acts as the liaison between the program and hotel management to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the hotel. Additionally, the Director of Operations will manage procurement needs and logistics in collaboration with other city agencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 5 successful years managing a facility, shelter, or immigration site.
- Understanding of policies and procedures related to working and maintaining a facility.
- Understanding of billing related to working and maintaining a facility.
- Ability to manage and schedule staff.
- Familiarity with CARES or ability to learn quickly.
- Flexibility in terms of hours, including potential off-hours calls and responses.
- Possession of a NYS driver’s license.
