The Opportunity Reporting directly to the President, the Director of Operations will provide strategic and operational leadership across Caframo’s full value chain, including supply chain, procurement, production, and distribution. Reporting to the President, the Director of Operations will lead and optimize our end-to-end operations, including procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and inventory management, within a multi-product manufacturing environment that requires strong alignment between supply chain planning and production execution. This is a key leadership role for a strategic, hands-on professional who is passionate about operational excellence, continuous improvement, and driving business growth through efficient and scalable processes. This is a newly expanded leadership role, reflecting Caframo’s continued commitment to strengthening our operational capabilities by unifying production and supply chain under a cohesive operational strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations.
  • Proven success overseeing integrated supply chain and production in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain systems and ERP/MRP platforms (Epicor experience considered an asset).
  • Deep expertise in production planning, inventory control, and logistics.
  • Demonstrated success leading process improvement and operational transformation initiatives.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and integrate daily operations across supply chain, procurement, production, and distribution.
  • Develop and execute operational strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to drive performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee sourcing, procurement, and supplier relationships.
  • Optimize demand planning, forecasting accuracy, and inventory control.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Strengthen supply chain resilience and risk management strategies.
  • Lead production planning, scheduling, and execution to meet customer demand and quality standards.
  • Ensure alignment between production capacity and supply chain requirements.
  • Drive improvements in throughput, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering and quality teams on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee warehousing, transportation, and distribution operations.
  • Improve delivery performance and reduce lead times.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction through operational excellence.
  • Manage third-party logistics partnerships.
  • Standardize processes and implement operational best practices.
  • Leverage ERP/MRP systems and data insights to drive decision-making and visibility.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing operations team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and engagement.
  • Mentor leaders and support succession planning.
