About The Position

Red Cap is looking for an experienced VP of Operations to join our leadership team and help take a rapidly growing residential home-services business to the next level. This is a key leadership position with broad responsibility across our HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical operations. The VP of Operations will be responsible for translating company strategy into execution, building a high-performing leadership team, and ensuring the business operates with the discipline and infrastructure needed to scale.

Requirements

Proven experience managing a highly profitable home-services business
Strong P&L and financial management experience.
Significant experience leading managers and developing high-performing leadership teams.
Deep industry knowledge across residential HVAC, Plumbing, and/or Electrical.
A track record of growing businesses while improving profitability and operational discipline.
Strong communication, decision-making, and leadership skills.
An entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to get into the business when needed.

Responsibilities

Lead overall operational performance across multiple trades and departments.
Oversee P&L performance, maximizing revenue, profitability, and long-term business growth.
Establish clear goals, KPIs, and accountability throughout the organization.
Lead, coach, and develop department and operations managers.
Improve productivity, margins, capacity planning, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
Partner with the executive team on growth strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
Build processes and systems that allow the company to scale without sacrificing quality or customer experience.
Identify opportunities and challenges early and take decisive action to improve business performance.
Develop a strong leadership bench and create a culture of ownership and high performance.
