About The Position

The Director of Operations leads all operational functions across supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, and repair activities to ensure efficiency, quality, and on time delivery in a highly regulated aerospace environment. This role oversees operational strategy, process improvement, supplier coordination, and production execution while driving continuous improvement and cross functional collaboration. The position requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and the ability to align teams, resources, and processes with business objectives and customer commitments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management within the aerospace industry.
  • Proven track record of successful leadership and team management.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management, procurement, manufacturing, and repair station operations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive operational efficiency.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in using operations management software and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to ensure seamless operations.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels and optimize the supply chain to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Oversee the procurement process to ensure the acquisition of high-quality materials and components.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards in procurement activities.
  • Direct and oversee daily operations of the manufacturing facility and repair station.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure the manufacturing process meets all quality and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with engineering and design teams to ensure manufacturability of products.
  • Manage production schedules to meet project deadlines and customer commitments.
  • Supervise the repair station to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs of avionics equipment.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure repaired products meet the highest standards.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain and procurement teams to source necessary parts and components.
  • Provide strong leadership to the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and mentor team members to achieve professional growth and operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring that their needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Address and resolve any operational issues that arise, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support business development efforts.
