About The Position

We are looking for a Director of Operations to lead multi-site operations, drive performance, and strengthen client relationships while ensuring operational, financial, and service excellence across our portfolio. As Director of Operations, you will provide strategic and hands-on leadership across multiple accounts and operational teams. You will be responsible for ensuring all sites meet contractual obligations, financial targets, and service standards while building strong, long-term client partnerships.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in building automation controls systems within operations
  • Proven experience managing multi-site or multi-account operations
  • Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L responsibility
  • Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience leading large teams, including frontline staff and operational managers
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on operational leadership
  • Knowledge of contract management and service-level compliance

  • Post-secondary education in business, operations management, automated controls or related field is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily operations across multiple client sites or contracts
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality building automation controls systems
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Monitor operational performance and ensure all KPIs, SLAs, and contract requirements are met
  • Oversee financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Review monthly and weekly financial and operational reports to drive accountability and improvements
  • Support Area Managers, Account Managers, and site leadership teams through coaching and development
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, service delivery, and profitability
  • Manage workforce planning, staffing models, and subcontractor/vendor relationships
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with sales and business development teams to support growth opportunities and new contract mobilization
  • Act as an escalation point for operational and client issues, ensuring timely resolution
