Director of Operations
About The Position
Emerson has an exciting opportunity for a manufacturing professional looking to grow with an industry leader. As Director of Operations, you will set strategy, lead the Aiken, SC site, and build an inclusive, high-performing culture focused on continuous improvement and talent development. In this role, you will drive operational execution by translating business objectives into actionable plans, performance goals, and measurable results. You will oversee daily operations, optimize processes, and leverage key metrics to improve efficiency, control costs, and support sustainable growth, while ensuring compliance and accountability across the organization. Relocation assistance will be provided for successful non-local candidates.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing leadership
- At least 5 years in a site/multi-site leader role
- Strong leadership and financial skills
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma certifications are essential
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 10+ years senior leadership role in a manufacturing environment
- Broad operational experience across finance, production, and people leadership
- Proven ability to drive efficiency and manage budgets
- Strong understanding of regulations and compliance
- Strategic, forward-thinking leader with strong communication and a focus on team development
- Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role

Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership to set strategy, performance goals, and operational plans
- Drive efficiency, productivity, and cost improvement through process optimization
- Oversee daily operations and key metrics to ensure performance and execution
- Lead cross-functional collaboration, including product development and project planning
- Transformation of the site to Emerson standards for Safety, Quality, Service, Productivity and inventory
- Ensure compliance while fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture
