Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or business administration, Business Administration or related healthcare field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in management or strategic planning in long-term care setting
  • Experience in PACE setting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional organization abilities
  • Must be able to communicate effectively through public speaking and strong computer skills required
  • Strongly developed communication skills, successfully demonstrated in effectively working with a wide variety of people
  • Established skill in strategic and critical thinking, negotiation, presentations, salesmanship, and relationship-building
  • Provides leadership as indicated by the ability to get individuals or groups to accomplish a task or accept an idea
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and inductive reasoning skills which manifest themselves in creative solutions to operational issues
  • Demonstrate computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other business software programs
  • Possess a strong knowledge of business and healthcare

Responsibilities

  • Assists Executive Director in providing leadership, management, and direction for the PACE Program.
  • Supervises assigned departments/staff through selection, orientation, training, development, and counseling, scheduling, making assignments, performance evaluation, conducting staff meetings, and resolving concerns of staff.
  • Manages operations within budgets through product standardization, cost containment, and reengineering of organizational issues and processes. Assists in developing operating and capital budgets.
  • Establishes, assures, directs, and monitors coordination of utilization tracking systems and quality assurance performance improvement databases and activities.
  • Prepares and submits, as required by CMS and the State, all quality assurance and performance indicators for the PACE program.
  • Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Assists in developing and implementing goals, objectives, and strategic planning for the facility through pro-active strategies that are outcome/result oriented, on time, and within budget.
  • Coordinates all aspects of the Participant Advisory Committee.
  • Ensures participant service/care issues and any family issues are resolved.
  • Promotes and provides leadership for positive employee relations, PACE GNO and CCANO values, customer service, safety, and other company initiatives.
  • Initiates and maintains productive long-term provider relationships with provider representatives, hospitals and nursing homes.
  • Assists in the identification of workflow inefficiencies and records, tracks and monitors the assessment and resolution processes.
  • Develops and coordinates ongoing in-service education and employee competencies for PACE GNO and contract employees.
