About The Position

Join our fast-paced and passionate team as a Director of Operations. As we scale, you will be instrumental in building our operational foundation from the ground up, serving as the bridge between executive vision and day-to-day execution. This is a dynamic, hands-on role for a self-starter who thrives in a fluid startup environment. You'll have the opportunity to build the infrastructure that allows our innovations to scale and develop engineering-adjacent practices that support our mission and growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related technical field
  • 12+ years of experience in technical operations, product operations, manufacturing, supply chain, program management, or related leadership roles
  • Experience supporting products through development, prototyping, manufacturing scale-up, and commercialization
  • Strong understanding of product development lifecycles and operational scaling challenges
  • Experience working with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and external technical partners
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced startup or high-growth environments
  • Strong financial and operational decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Must be a U.S. person as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3) due to access to export-controlled information.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead our procurement engine, owning supplier selection, long-term forecasting, and strategic vendor management.
  • Establish and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) and supplier quality programs.
  • Partner closely with engineering and product development teams to ensure product decisions support long-term manufacturability, scalability, reliability, and cost targets.
  • Oversee all shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations, ensuring inventory accuracy and a seamless flow of materials.
  • Manage the Bill of Materials and track project costs, aligning build and delivery schedules with company budgets and milestones.
  • Be responsible for the physical workspace, including lab management, and critical operational support like parts cleaning.
  • Work hand-in-hand with Engineering on component integration; with Manufacturing on DFx and reliability; and with Business Development to align operational capacity with our growth roadmap.
