About The Position

The Director of Operations is a key role of the executive team, responsible for leading the operations team through creating disciplined, measurable, and repeatable operational execution. This role ensures Hub operates as an exceptional flexographic printer upholding the highest level of quality, leading through innovation and most importantly promoting a safe and engaged workforce. The Director of Operations owns, daily execution, cross functional alignment, operational performance and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • College Degree in Business, Operations Management, or related fields.
  • Five+ years experience as manager/leader position is preferred
  • Prior experience in manufacturing setting, prior experience in fast paced printing environment is preferred
  • Prior experience with change management
  • Prior experience effectively coaching and developing teams
  • Strong project management
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Proven track record working in lean manufacturing environments and leading teams through operational excellence
  • Specific sight requirements include: close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
  • While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk and hear
  • The employee is frequently required to stand for extended periods
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Will occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds with mechanical assistance

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety remains a non-negotiable priority, supporting ongoing SHARP certification.
  • Own day‑to‑day operational performance across production, maintenance, scheduling, quality, safety.
  • Drive structured execution through daily, weekly, and monthly operating rhythms that reinforce accountability and visibility.
  • Ensure operational priorities align with Hub’s annual growth plan, capital strategy, and modernization initiatives.
  • Build and sustain a culture where employees are empowered; everyone owns their process and performance expectations are clear, measurable, and reinforced.
  • Lead lean and continuous improvement efforts focused on key metrics (on time delivery, quality, uptime, waste reduction)
  • Sponsor and prioritize process improvements, automation and technology that improve scalability and reliability.
  • Responsible for people leadership and development by coaching and developing operation leaders to think strategically, manage performance and lead change.
  • Ensure the right people are in the right seats and that succession plans are active and visible.
  • Establishes key partnerships with our suppliers to support operational goals.
