About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on Director of Operations to lead end-to-end operational execution for a growing industrial technology organization with global reach. This is a newly created leadership role designed to own day-to-day operations across manufacturing interfaces, supply chain, warehousing, field service, and complex installations—freeing executive leadership to remain focused on global strategy and growth. This role sits at the center of the business, partnering closely with Sales, Engineering, Finance, and global manufacturing partners to ensure products are delivered efficiently, projects execute flawlessly, and customers experience reliable, professional outcomes. While the initial focus is the U.S. and Americas, this role is intentionally built to scale globally as the organization expands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience
  • Experience across supply chain, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and field service
  • Proven success working with overseas manufacturing partners
  • Strong ERP-driven operations background (NetSuite highly preferred)
  • Experience in installation, field service, or project-based delivery environments
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong cross-functional influence

  • Lean / Six Sigma, APICS (CPIM / CSCP), or PMP
  • Experience supporting light manufacturing, kitting, or assembly operations

Responsibilities

  • Operations Leadership & Execution
  • Own day-to-day operational performance across the Americas
  • Translate executive strategy into clear execution plans and measurable results
  • Build operating cadence, KPIs, and accountability across teams
  • Drive operational discipline without slowing growth
  • Supply Chain, Inventory & Warehousing
  • Lead demand planning, inventory management, logistics, and fulfillment
  • Own inventory forecasting and working capital performance
  • Improve inventory turns, service levels, fill rates, and lead times
  • Oversee warehouse operations supporting both standard products and project-based installations
  • Global Manufacturing & Vendor Interface
  • Serve as the primary operations liaison to overseas manufacturing partners
  • Support production planning, capacity alignment, quality, and cost transparency
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risk (tariffs, logistics, supplier concentration)
  • Support sourcing and readiness for new products and markets
  • Field Service, Installations & Project Oversight
  • Provide leadership for field service and heavy equipment installations
  • Ensure projects are properly scoped, planned, executed, and closed
  • Standardize installation processes, job costing, and documentation
  • Partner with Sales and Engineering to improve pre-sale feasibility and handoffs
  • Cost Control & Financial Partnership
  • Partner with Finance to drive margin visibility and cost control
  • Manage operational drivers of EBITDA (freight, inventory, rework, efficiency)
  • Ensure operational data supports accurate forecasting and reporting
  • Systems, Data & Process
  • Own operational processes within ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
  • Improve data accuracy and visibility from order intake to delivery
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on scalability and clarity
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Directly lead teams across supply chain, warehousing, and field service
  • Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure teams are structured to support growth while remaining cost-disciplined
