Requirements

  • BA/BS or graduate education preferred.
  • 8-10 years in physician practice operations, multi-site management, or healthcare integration
  • 5 or more years leading complex cross-functional programs, integrations, or transformation initiatives.
  • Expert knowledge of physician practice operations (front office, back office, revenue cycle, EMR workflows).
  • Demonstrated success in change management and physician/staff engagement during acquisitions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing leaders and teams

Responsibilities

  • Leads Gastro Health’s enterprise Integration Management Office and oversees the successful onboarding, stabilization, and optimization of acquired practices, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions.
  • Manages integration portfolios, prioritizes resources, mitigates risks, tracks performance, and escalates issues to senior leadership.
  • Supervises two Managers of Integration Operations and collaborates with physicians, operational leaders, support functions, external partners, and transaction stakeholders to ensure integrations are standardized, timely, and aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Lead the enterprise Integration Management Office (IMO) for acquisitions, mergers, strategic partnerships, joint ventures and other assigned transactions.
  • Directly lead, coach, develop, and deploy two Managers of Integration Operations; establish clear roles, performance expectations, coverage plans, and development priorities.
  • Establish portfolio governance, integration priorities, resource allocation, milestone expectations, decision rights, and escalation pathways across concurrent transactions.
  • Serve as the senior liaison among support center teammates, market leaders, physicians, third-party delivery partners, and acquisition stakeholders to ensure organized, thoughtful, and timely execution.
  • Oversee on-site operational assessments and gap analyses; ensure findings, risks, dependencies, and recommended actions are clearly documented and presented to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify operational improvements and M&A synergies; prioritize opportunities and incorporate approved initiatives into integration workplans and value-realization tracking.
  • Lead recurring integration portfolio reviews and provide concise executive reporting on status, milestones, risks, decisions, resource constraints, and performance.
  • Oversee post-close practice stabilization, including teammate onboarding, physician and stakeholder engagement, KPI monitoring, service continuity, issue resolution, and transition to steady-state operations.
  • Provide oversight for integration of clinical and administrative systems, including EMR, practice management, scheduling, billing, reporting, and other enabling platforms.
  • Coordinate with Compliance, Legal, Finance, Human Resources, Revenue Cycle, Technology, Credentialing, Marketing, Operations, Clinical Services, and other functions to align integration activities and resolve cross-functional dependencies.
  • Ensure integration activities appropriately address applicable regulatory, payer, credentialing, contracting, and company requirements in partnership with responsible functional leaders.
  • Own, refine, and enforce a standardized integration playbook covering people, process, systems, governance, communications, and post-close stabilization.
  • Create and maintain tools, templates, dashboards, KPIs, and operating cadences that improve consistency, accountability, visibility, and scalability across integrations.
  • Manage and monitor integration workplans using approved tools, including Smartsheet, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, and other assigned platforms.
  • Provide or coordinate interim and transitional practice-management support when required to sustain operations.
  • Deploy available integration resources to enterprise strategic initiatives, Project Horizon priorities, process improvement work, and PMO responsibilities during periods of lower transaction activity.
  • Lead change-management activities associated with integration and strategic initiatives, with emphasis on clear communication, physician engagement, teammate readiness, and adoption.
  • Other duties as assigned
