About The Position
Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Leader to oversee day-to-day operations across their fresh produce distribution center in South New Jersey. This role acts as the central coordinator between inventory, production, food safety, QA/QC, 3PL, sales, and shipping to ensure accurate, timely order fulfillment and optimal stock levels. The position reports directly to the CEO.
Requirements
- Significant experience managing fresh produce operations, minimum 7 YOE, preferably 10+
- Strong understanding of inventory management and order fulfillment workflows
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and external partners
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, perishable goods environment
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily operations across inventory, production, food safety, QA/QC, 3PL, sales, and shipping
- Ensure orders are fulfilled accurately, on time, and to quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and demand to prevent stockouts or overstock
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements
- Maintain accountability across departments with clear communication and follow-through
- Support scaling operations as volume grows
