About The Position

Oak Hills Living Center is seeking a full-time Director of Nutrition Services to join their team due to an upcoming retirement and expansion. Requirements

Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Dietary Technician, nutrition-related degree, or completion of a food service management program
ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain within six months)
Prior supervisory experience required
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to motivate, coach, and supervise team members

Nice To Haves

Long-term care (LTC) food service experience preferred

Responsibilities

Oversee daily Nutrition Services operations at Oak Hills Living Center
Lead department functions including staffing, training, performance management, and employee development
Monitor department budget, labor costs, purchasing, inventory, food waste, and overall expenses
Plan, coordinate, and oversee meal preparation and service to ensure quality, presentation, and resident satisfaction
Participate in menu planning, incorporating resident preferences, substitutions, and therapeutic diet requirements
Ensure safe food receiving, storage, preparation, holding, and service practices
Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian (RD) and Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to monitor residents’ nutritional status
Support nutrition assessments, care planning, and interventions to promote positive resident outcomes
Maintain kitchen equipment cleaning schedules and department standards
Build positive working relationships with residents, families, staff, physicians, and vendors
