About The Position
We are seeking a strong clinical leader to step into a Director of Nursing (DON) role within a behavioral health/psychiatric setting. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a patient-centered environment while leading a dedicated nursing team.
Requirements
- Active RN license (state-specific or ability to obtain)
- Strong background in psychiatric/behavioral health nursing
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Passion for patient-centered mental health care
Nice To Haves
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Experienced Director of Nursing (DON) with a background in psychiatric or behavioral health settings
- Seasoned Registered Nurse (RN) with significant psychiatric experience and proven leadership ability, such as: Managing or overseeing a psych unit or wing, Leadership roles in inpatient or residential psych facilities, Charge nurse, nurse manager, or supervisor experience in behavioral health
Responsibilities
- Oversee all nursing operations and clinical services
- Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and maintain a safe therapeutic environment
