About The Position

Come join us at Mount Carmel Care Center! We are a Faith-Based, Non-Profit, boutique-sized Long-Term Care facility (69 beds), nestled in the heart of the Berkshires. Twice voted "Best of the Berkshires," we are sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm since 2013 and maintain a mission-based environment for our staff and residents. We are looking for Director of Nursing Services - DON - Registered Nurse.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and currently licensed as an RN - Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
Experienced in Change Management and mission focused.
Two (2) years experience as a Director of Nursing required.
Five (5) years experience in Long-Term Care required.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the development of nursing service objectives and performance standards.
Responsible for nursing service compliance to federal, state and local regulations.
Direct, evaluate and supervise all resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary.
Assess resident care needs and assist in the development of individualized plans of resident care.
Direct and supervise scheduling of employees.
Assist in recruiting, conduct counseling interviews and initiate disciplinary action as necessary.
Prepare written employee performance evaluations and recommend pay, role and other HR changes.
Direct and implement nursing service educational programs.
Participate in the planning and implementation of the nursing service budget.
Take inquiries for resident placement as assigned by the Admissions Office.
Coordinate resident admissions, transfers and discharges.
