About The Position

As a member of the Clinic Management Team, the Director of Nursing (DON) will foster a safe, client-focused environment through the effective oversight of the agency’s Medication Management System and adherence to the Joint Commission standards. The DON will oversee, implement and evaluate the agency’s Infection Control Plan and Medication Management Plan. The DON will provide the Leadership Team with data and information regarding medication/medical incidents so the Leadership Team can make data driven/informed programmatic decisions/changes that are in the best interest of the clients and minimize sentinel events. Utilizing achievement focused skills, the DON will ensure medication and physical health compliance with the Department of Mental Health and Enhanced Care Management (ECM) contracts. The DON is a critical contributor to the ECM Program in the role of Clinical Consultant, Registered Nurse. The DON provides guidance to and consultation on matters within the scope of Registered Nurse.

Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Registered Nurse license from the State of California.
  • Valid California driver’s license for current automobile insurance.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a behavioral health setting.
  • Have and maintain a clean driving record acceptable to the organization’s insurance company.
  • Have immediate access to his or her vehicle during work hours.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
