About The Position
Northwoods Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) RN to lead our nursing department in a well-established, 40-bed skilled nursing facility. Located in the beautiful village of Moravia, our facility offers a small, home-like environment where leadership can make a meaningful impact. We maintain a stable census, strong survey history, and an experienced clinical support team, including a Unit Manager/ADON.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care leadership experience required
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and clinical operations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise nursing staff
- Oversee daily clinical operations
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, Medicare, and facility regulations
- Maintain high standards of resident care and clinical outcomes
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care planning
- Support staff development and retention
- Promote resident rights and quality care
