About The Position
Ridgewood Terrace, a Concord Health Systems facility, is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) committed to high-quality, resident-centered care. The ideal candidate will lead with compassion, set clear expectations, support staff, and prioritize excellence in resident care. The Director of Nursing oversees all nursing services, ensuring residents receive safe, consistent, and compassionate care. Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Skilled nursing/long-term care experience required
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and make sound clinical decisions
- Commitment to high-quality resident care and staff support
Nice To Haves
- Prior DON or ADON experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead all nursing services within the skilled nursing facility
- Maintain the highest standards of clinical quality and resident safety
- Support, guide, and develop nursing staff and nurse managers
- Ensure compliance with state and federal long-term care regulations
- Review incidents promptly and ensure appropriate follow-up
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Prepare for and participate in state inspections
- Ensure proper staffing, training, and documentation
- Serve as a visible, supportive leader focused on care excellence
