About The Position

Tap Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing – Emergency Services (ER) to lead emergency department operations in Florence, Alabama. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, staff development, quality initiatives, and patient care delivery within a fast-paced Emergency Department environment. The Director will collaborate closely with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to drive operational excellence, improve patient outcomes, and support strategic growth initiatives. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from approximately $70,000 to $130,000 annually based on experience and the opportunity to lead a critical service line within a growing healthcare organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Active Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for Alabama licensure.
  • Nursing license in good standing with no disciplinary actions or restrictions.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience, preferably within Emergency Services.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary healthcare teams and build strong working relationships across departments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement performance improvement initiatives.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required or obtained within an established timeframe after hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership experience within an Emergency Department (ER) environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing high-volume emergency services operations.
  • Demonstrated success in quality improvement, patient satisfaction, and operational efficiency initiatives.
