About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations within a skilled nursing facility. Strong candidates will oversee nursing staff, maintain regulatory compliance, support quality resident outcomes, and help foster a positive and accountable clinical culture throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is proactive, operationally strong, adaptable, and capable of thriving within a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

Active RN license in the applicable state
Previous Director of Nursing (DON), Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), or strong nursing leadership experience within skilled nursing or long-term care settings
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, survey readiness, and healthcare operations
Proven leadership and staff management experience
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to perform effectively within fast-paced environments
Strong understanding of clinical workflows, staffing coordination, and patient care standards
Ability to lead with professionalism, accountability, and a team-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

Oversee all nursing operations within the facility
Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff across departments
Ensure compliance with all state and federal healthcare regulations
Maintain ongoing survey readiness and implement corrective action plans when necessary
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve resident outcomes and operational performance
Monitor staffing, scheduling, workflows, and nursing performance
Support infection prevention, quality assurance, and clinical improvement initiatives
Build and maintain a positive culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and resident care
Provide leadership support during audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews
Ensure proper documentation standards and clinical best practices are consistently followed
